How can online communication be
used in the classroom?
The following is a very brief list of
communication with your students. This list is non-subject specific. Possible
ways include:
• brainstorming an issue using chat with students from various campuses
in a multi-campus college
• guest lectures using video conferencing
• personal advice and guidance on projects and assignment work using
email
• computer-based instructions using tutorials, simulations and/or videos
• exchanging of ideas with classes in other geographical areas using
email, discussion groups or video conferencing
• senior students exploring concepts or texts with other students studying
the same material using bulletin boards, discussion groups, news groups
or

• online follow-up of a radio or television program
• sending assignments to teachers by email
